Hi, Marel here.

My design journey started when I discovered a Product Design course outside my province. It was then that I knew I wanted to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, majoring in Product Design, at the University of the Philippines Cebu. The program gave me a strong foundation in product, visual, and marketing design, and I’ve been on a creative path ever since.

It wasn't always easy.
In 2015, I didn’t graduate on time because I failed a subject and had to extend my studies. At first, it felt like a setback, but looking back, it taught me resilience and how to turn challenges into growth.
Instead of letting that extra semester slow me down, I jumped into a part-time jewelry designer role. This was my first hands-on experience in the industry. After graduation, I moved into my first full-time role as a junior jewelry designer for a French company.
In 2017, I felt the need to expand my skills, so I turned to digital design. Working from home with various businesses, I helped them create unique brands and digital assets. That’s when I truly found my balance and discovered cosplay as a creative outlet.

Now, I’m a proud mom to a three-year-old and a wife, and I’m still thriving in the creative field. Working from home gives me the flexibility I need to balance family and work, and I’m always learning and growing in my craft.
Being a mother only fuels my drive. With the support of my husband and son, I’m inspired to chase new opportunities and take on fresh challenges in this ever-changing industry. They push me to keep moving forward and exploring new creative possibilities.
Through all of these experiences, I’ve developed a versatile skill set in design, branding, and digital media, and I’m always ready for what’s next.
